For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

I must die or get someone to die for me. If the bible doesn't teach that, it doesn't teach anything. And that is where the atonement of Jesus Christ comes in. Dwight L. Moody

All the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Love is the greatest think that God can give us, for himself is love; and it is the greatest thing we can give to God, for it will also give ourselves, and carry with it all that is ours. The apostle calls it the bond of perfection; it is the old, the new, and the great commandment, and all the commandments, for it is the fulfilling of the law. It does the work of all the other graces without any instrument, but its own immediate virtue. Jeremy Taylor

Hey everyone,
I hope that you all had a good Thanksgiving. It is time to catch you up on how Fred is doing and let you know how to pray for Fred and family this week. This week will be the second full week after treatments ended. It is surprising how long the radiation has continued to affect Fred after the end of the treatments. From what I can see he is still in quite a bit of pain and easily gets tired. He has gained a little weight back, yet eating is still a chore do to the pain in his throat.
It is hard to watch Fred go through this whole process, yet it has been and is inspiring to see how Fred has carried himself through this chapter in his life. He has shown great faith and confidence in God’s goodness and love each and everyday. In the midst of some of the worst days in his own battle he has reached out to check on others that have had health or emotional issues going on in their lives. He has been an example of being Christ-like in our daily lives. His focus has not been, and is not on himself, but on Christ Jesus, who is the only one worthy to be our prime focus in life in the first place.
Here are some things to pray about and for this week; that Fred will be healed completely, that his pain would subside, that his throat would heal, that eating would become easy and that he would continue to gain weight and strength, that Fred and Denise would have peaceful and restful sleep, that hope would abound in their home, for an easy transition in their home as Grandma June goes home Tuesday, safe travel for June, protection over their family, their home, and any thing that God lays on your heart to pray.
Beloved, I pray … you may be in health. 3 John 2
“God has no vested interests in sickness and infirmity. We may say that it is His general desire, as it was the apostle’s for his friend Gaius that His people should be in health. Exceptions to this do not negative the general rule. If this were not the case He would never have equipped the human body with its own wonderful healing powers or His Church with a healing ministry.” Arthur Wallis
All of you are and have been those healing ministers through your prayers, not only to Fred and Denise, also to their family, friends, church, each other, and to me. I am so blessed by your continued love and support for Fred. There are not words to say what your prayers have meant in this battle. Thank You for being consistent in prayer. May God richly bless you and your home, jack
